Microsoft's Windows
Store launched with Windows 8 in 2012 offering only apps and games. Windows 10 in 2015 added music, movies, and TV shows, and April's Creators Update
added books. But how can you shop at the Windows Store and what will you find?
Let's check it out.
First, you'll need
Windows 10 to shop for the full array of items in the Windows Store. And if
you're looking for a good book to read, you'll need the Creators Update. To
check your version of Windows 10, right-click the Start
button. If you see the Settings command in the menu, you have the Creators
Update. If you see Control Panel in the menu, you're still running the prior
flavor of Windows and need to install the Creators Update, which you can do
from the Windows Update screen in Settings.
To open the Windows
Store, click on its icon on the Taskbar, or click on the Start button and
scroll down the list to the shortcut for Store and click on it.
Microsoft support phone numberPays $26M to
Resolve Hungarian
Bribery Charges
Microsoft support phone numberwill pay $26
million to settle charges that some of its Hungarian employees sold software to

products from Microsoft support phone numberto bribe government officials,
according to the Wall Street Journal.
One case involved Microsoft support phone
numberHungary employees receiving 25 percent+ discounts for software that was
sold to Hungary's National Tax and Customs Administration. The Securities and

support phone numberre being passed on to end customers."
These payments apparently generated $13.78

"Although Microsoft support phone
numberHungary did not voluntarily self-disclose the misconduct, Microsoft support
phone numberHungary received credit for its and Microsoft support phone numberCorporation's
substantial cooperation with the Department's investigation and for taking
extensive remedial measures," the Justice Department said in a
statement.
Quoted in the Post,
Microsoft's President and Chief Legal Officer Brad Smith said the claims
"involved employee misconduct that was completely unacceptable" and
that employees involved "behaved in a wholly unethical
manner," although the settlement documents state that the company
itself has not admitted or denied any wrongdoing.
This is not the only instance where Microsoft
support phone numberhas been under the microscope; Reuters reports that the
fine also covers incidents in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Turkey. Travel and
gifts Microsoft support phone numberre given to officials in Saudi Arabia and
Thailand through "slush funds," and there was an unexplained discount
given to a transaction with Microsoft's Turkish branch.
